Adina Ostoia

Adina was born and raised in Romania until the age of seventeen.

Her family relocated to the United States, where she graduated as a Valedictorian from Birmingham High School in Van Nuys, California.  She then went on to New York’s Fordham University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Political Economy and a minor in Business Administration.

While at Fordham, she was a part of the women’s rowing team.  This experience instilled in her the true concept of team effort.  Adina was also part of Students for a Free Tibet, an organization that works insolidarity with the Tibetan people in their struggle for freedom and independence from Chinese occupation and persecution.  After graduating from Fordham, Adina relocated to California, where she graduated from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles in the top third of her class.

At Loyola, Adina was a staff member of the International and Comparative Law Review during 2006-2007 school year.  She was the Law Review’s Executive Editor during 2007-2008 school year.  She was the recipient of the Witkin Award for Civil Procedure and Contracts.

While at Loyola, Adina clerked for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office-Major Crimes Division.  There, she assisted with the prosecution of a defendent who had murdered his wife sixteen years earlier.  The defendant was convicted to life in prison despite the fact that his wife’s body had never been found.  Adina also provided pro bono legal services to qualified California residents with their appeals pending before the Board of Equalization.

At Steinberg & Spencer, Adina secured the highest Proposition 213 settlement in the law firm’s history, in the amount of $78,000.  In her first 9 months at Steinberg & Spencer, Adina obtained more than $1,250,000 from insurance companies on behalf of her clients.  Adina’s main priorities are her clients and securing  the best possible resolution for their cases.  Her professionalism is recognized and admired by everyone with whom she comes in contact.

Her interest are: animals and their well-being, hiking, camping, sports, as well as traveling to meet people and get their input on many subjects.  Adina loves to spend most of her free time with her family and friends and she always enjoys a good read

She is bilingual, being fluent in English and Romanian, as well as conversational in German.
