Steve Spencer is an accomplished trial attorney, with 25 years of litigating cases throughout California and in several other states.  Mr. Spencer, who is the lead trial attorney for Steinberg & Spencer, has tried in excess of fifty cases.

In his career, Mr. Spencer has handled numerous serious injury cases involving brain damage, severe scarring, disc herniations, loss of limbs and other life changing loses.  The cases have ranged from products liability to premises liability (slip and fall, assault and battery) to automobile accidents.

Mr. Spencer’s experience and reputation for aggressive representation allow him to reach settlements and attain verdicts that are both fair and beneficial to his clients.  Lawyers regard him as a thoroughly prepared advocate who achieves outstanding results for his clients.

Early in his career, Mr. Spencer was a partner in a defense firm that was retained by insurance  companies and big business entities (restaurants, grocery stores and machine companies).   He learned the tactics used by defense interests to defeat or reduce victims’ claims. Today, he uses this knowledge  to maximize recovery for his clients.

Mr. Spencer graduated from Rutgers University in 1978 and the University of San Diego School of Law in 1984.  He has been elected to the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). Membership in ABOTA is by invitation only, and includes the top plaintiff and defense attorneys.  He is also a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, Riverside County Bar Association, American Association for Justice (AAJ), Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, and the Consumer Attorneys of California.
